I live my life to the fullest.
Today I was reminded that life can end at any moment and that I don’t want to waste my life. I found out that a neighbor of mine who was only 52 died. She was just two years older than me. Granted, she didn’t take very good care of herself and she was very unhealthy. That doesn’t matter. Even when we are in good health our lives can end from other causes.
I am using this particular image of the damage from Hurricane Matthew (the storm that nearly hit us directly in September) because it illustrates to me the idea that we never know when or how life can take a drastic turn. Just like my neighbor’s death, I am reminded that it is important to value the life that you have and to live that life to the fullest.
It’s interesting to me to think that life seems to speed up as we age. Where did the time go? That’s not a question I want to be asking myself when my time comes near to the end. I intend to live my life to the fullest appreciating everything and everyone that is in it.
