I am dedicated to
achieving optimal health.
Lately, I haven’t been dedicated to optimal health. Yesterday I suffered because of my lack of that dedication. I have this propensity to be a “human doing” not a “human being”. If you don’t know what I mean by that, I mean that I tend to live my life by keeping busy. I neglect myself and my health.
How many of us live our lives by doing not being?
I’m not saying that we should only be living our lives by just being. There needs to be a balance between the two ways of living. To start I need to figure out how to stop myself from living my life mostly in doing mode. I also intend to focus on the four quadrants that you see in the illustration to help myself achieve optimal health. I’m not sure exactly how yet. Disciplining myself is not one of my strong suits. Discipline is the key. Perhaps figuring out how to discipline myself first is what I need to do to be able to achieve what I want to ultimately achieve.
How about you? I think we all want to achieve optimal health. What do you think you need to do to help yourself achieve that goal?
